Our Origin

Our 1,500 hectares Cocoa plantation is located in Bafia, Cameroon. It is located in the Centre Region of Yaounde. Our Cocoa variety Trinitario is widely know as the world’s finest Cocoa hybrid (a cross-fertilisation of Criollo & Forastero) Their progenies (hybrid Cocoa) supersede with their high yield and fine flavour. The quality of our Cocoa is based on the best practices of harvesting, fermenting and winnowing which produces dark-coloured chocolate, specific aroma, texture and astringency.

In addition to our own plantations, we have buying points in the major Cocoa-producing areas of Kumba, Muyuka, Ayos and Bafia.

Our coffee filed is located in the West and Northwest Region of Cameroon while the oil palm plantation are located in the southwest and Littoral Region of the country

SOCOPROCA CAMEROON takes pride in having a dedicated Field Team located in the primary coffee and  cocoa-growing regions of Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Guinea. This on-the-ground presence ensures direct and daily contact with individual cocoa producers and cooperatives, a vital component of our commitment to traceability and quality.

Our Field Team is instrumental in meeting our stringent quality requirements and adhering to international sustainability standards. They work closely with local farmers, producers and exporters, enabling us to trace the journey of our cocoa beans from source to destination.

In-country presence also allows us to focus on providing vital support to the farmers. We believe in maintaining and improving farmers’ incomes by assisting them in achieving higher yields and by ensuring they receive a fair price for their cocoa and coffee. Our capacity development initiatives include offering cocoa farmers individual technical assistance from our experienced field staff. We also host farmer field school sessions where a wide range of topics, from income diversification and accounting to environmental protection, gender equality, nutrition, and reforestation, are covered.
